Favorites of 2020

Hey all! Long time since a blog post. Isn’t that 2020 in a nutshell.

Since we all have been through this horrible pandemic I wanted to share my favorite things since the pandemic started that I wanted to share. We are currently almost a year into this new way of life and it is not getting any easier. Thus wanting to share some good things that I have found along the way.

You could also use these things in life in general and for planning weddings!

Let the fun begin! ** I do not receive any compensation for any of the products or services below*

  1. Grocery pickup and subscribe and save.

How could I not have this at the top of the list? My mother in law used to tease me for doing grocery pickup because she had to lug all three of her boys to the grocery back in the 90’s why should I be any different… Well just the other day she said, “Jena I am so sorry for giving you grief over grocery delivery…. it is the best! I can go in my sweat pants and worn sweatshirt and no one will see me!” Granted she does live in a small town where you run into EVERYONE in town at the grocery but still it is a time saver for sure. Not only for us but not browsing the isles helps with our grocery budget at the same time.

Now subscribe and save, we have lots on this list: toilet paper, dog food, vitamins, trash bags, toothpaste, etc. all the stuff that caused me to browse the isles at the store = more money spent. Plus who wants to lug a 40lb bag of dog food around and load it into and out of the vehicle? Not me!

  2. Norwex!

if you have not heard of Norwex you are in luck! I had a window and envirocloth, but had no idea how or what to use it on. Norwex is a cleaning system that DOES NOT USE CHEMICALS??!?! The hard to find, precious, harsh chemicals to clean your home… REPLACE THEM! This cleaning system is environmentally friendly, kid friendly, and wallet friendly. No more single use cleaning products that harm your family. Yep you heard me the chemicals you have in your home harm your family through improper use, inhalation, or absorption. Don’t believe me? check out this study. Norwex is different because it mechanically cleans with microfibers and imbedded silver. So cool that it kills all the bad stuff almost instantly. check out my gal Abby on facebook for more awwing videos

  3. Hope Soap

My local soap shop. Not only are they dedicated to naturally derived products but also giving back!

“Hi! I’m Nathan Walden, founder and CEO of Hope Soap Ohio and The Love Truck.

For years, I struggled with a skin issue called dermatitis. In the broadest sense, dermatitis is itchy inflammation of the skin. After years of doctors appointments, testing, and medication, I decided to create my own remedy. In 2012, I started making natural soap that completely cured my skin problems.

In addition to making natural soap, I am very passionate about helping the homeless community. That passion is what also pushed me to create a non-profit called “The Love Truck.” The Love Truck assists those who are homeless in Akron, OH. Every last Saturday of the month, we serve a hot meal, hand out necessities like soap, and assist with finding employment for those who are homeless.

My past skin issues combined with my passion to serve the homeless community is what birthed my business Hope Soap Ohio. At the core of my business, is purposeful skincare products with a cause.

For every item sold, we give a bar of our soap to someone in need.”

My Favorites are the body scrubs, oatheal bar, face oil, and the candles!

  4. Lastly Earrings by Jaimee

My littlest sister started her own clay earrings shop! Super proud of her and who doesn’t love a good light weight stud or dangle earring. She has poured countless hours into researching trends, classic designs and custom designs. Super cute and durable, check her out!
